Lorenzo Formenti is an economist and independent consultant who works with policymakers, international organizations, and businesses to address sustainability challenges in global supply chains. His work focuses on international trade, environmental sustainability, and the circular economy. In particular, he specializes in how trade policy can support the diffusion of environmental technologies in developing countries. Lorenzo has held positions across the public and private sectors, including with Mondi Group, UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the International Trade Centre (ITC), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Pavia and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Milan.
